About The Reset Residence ~
The Reset Residence provides structured, supportive housing for individuals moving through major life transitions. We believe that true independence requires more than a temporary roof, it requires routine, personal accountability, and practical community resources.
Our Mission: To empower individuals navigating setbacks by providing safe, supportive housing, hands-on guidance, and access to local networks that restore personal stability.
Our Vision: A community where every person has the physical space and practical tools to reset their path and build a lasting, self-directed future.
Certified Leadership: Our house staff and leadership maintain active certifications in Mental Health First Aid, Trauma-Informed Care, and Naloxone overdose response.
What is
Transitional Housing?
Transitional housing is an intermediate living setup that bridges the gap between acute instability (such as shelter stays, recovery programs, or incarceration) and permanent independent living.
Unlike emergency overnight shelters focused only on short-term safety, transitional housing provides stable residency for 6 to 12 months. This extended timeframe allows individuals to secure reliable employment, build personal savings, resolve legal or medical matters, and establish long-term housing readiness.
Who We AreWho It Helps Most
Our Evanston home serves adults who are motivated to actively work toward independent living within a structured, cooperative environment.
Community Re-Entry: Individuals transitioning home after incarceration who need a stable address, employment support, and positive routine.
Sober Living Transitions: Individuals completing residential recovery programs who want an alcohol- and drug-free environment that reinforces daily accountability.
Displaced Adults: Individuals experiencing sudden housing loss, family disruption, or aging out of youth supportive programs.
Job Seekers Needing Stability: Working adults who need an affordable, secure home base while saving first/last month deposits for independent leases.
